Hapjeong Restaurant: Mabuja Saengsamgyeopsaljib Hapjeong Station Branch

I recently visited "Mabuja Saeng Samgyeopsal" located near Hapjeong Station.I heard that their aged kimchi is delicious, so I decided to give it a try.

I heard it's quite famous in Hapjeong.

When I told a friend I went there, they knew it right away, so I guess it really is popular. ㅎㅎ

Taste

Since there were two of us, we initially ordered two servings of pork belly and one serving of pork neck.

The pork belly was much more delicious, so we ordered more.

The aged kimchi was delicious, but...

Dipping the meat generously in soybean powder and then eating it with bean sprouts was truly amazing!

The bean sprout seasoning was perfect. Don't worry, it's not spicy!

(My dining companion wholeheartedly agreed!!)

So we refilled both the bean sprouts and soybean powder ㅎㅎ

To fully savor this flavor combination, we focused on eating lots of meat and skipped the fried rice!

Waiting Time
I arrived around 5:40 PM on a weekday, and there were three teams including ours.

As the 6 PM rush hour approached, people started coming in, and the restaurant quickly filled up, creating a waitlist!

If you're going on a weekday, I recommend considering the rush hour wait time.

Since alcohol often accompanies grilled meat, tables don't tend to free up quickly.

Good points

1. They grill the meat for you, so we could comfortably enjoy our meal while chatting.

They were busy, but since they grilled the meat for us without unnecessary interaction, it wasn't bothersome.

Everything was perfectly cooked, not burnt or undercooked!

(I didn't order fried rice, but I heard they also grill that for you.)

2. You can store your clothes and belongings in the seat, preventing them from absorbing too much of the smell of the grilled meat.

They also provide Febreeze.

3. They refill the side dishes in baskets. The staff were generally friendly and helpful. Even when they had many customers, they always came back to check on our table and ensure the meat was cooked properly.

4. I saw them cleaning up after other customers left, and they even wiped down the chairs. It was the first time I saw such thorough cleaning, which impressed me. I also noticed a lot of grease splatters on my chair when I got up. Their attention to detail was impressive.

Additional Information

1. They accept Zero Pay.

However, this could change, so I recommend checking in advance!

2. The restaurant is spacious, making it suitable for group dinners. Make a reservation in advance!

I highly recommend checking it out if you have the chance!

I would definitely revisit this place, 10000%!

It's about a 5-minute walk from Hapjeong Station exit 8!

The map might be a little confusing about whether it's underground, but it's actually on the first floor of a building.

You'll smell the grilled meat as you get close ㅎㅎ
